This Community school was built in 1890 to serve the fishing village of Old Leigh and there is still a village atmosphere which adds to its charm.
Through the years many additions and improvements to the building have taken place.
The school comprises of nine classroom bases, a small room for individual or group work, a library and I.C.T suite, hall and two comfortable sized work areas. An outdoor covered swimming pool is shared with the juniors. The grounds comprise of two playgrounds and there is also a small walled garden area for quieter activities plus a purpose built Foundation Year Area.
Our vision will be to continue to create a happy, caring community. We are committed through managing the curriculum and by effective teaching to raising the quality of pupil learning and promoting pupil achievement.
